Biostatistics Research

The Division of Biostatistics has the largest amount of sponsored research across all departments and divisions at the University of Minnesota. Our SPH friends in Epidemiology are a close second.

We work with a variety of University research partners on biomedical projects and the division maintains strong links to the Masonic Cancer Center, Clinical and Translational Science Institute, and the School of Statistics.

The division is home to two winners of the Mortimer Spiegelman AwardSudipto Banerjee and Brad Carlin—and five Fellows of the American Statistical Association: Brad CarlinPatricia GrambschJim HodgesJim Neaton, and Wei Pan.
