Hopefully by now you have read some information or at least heard a little about the Job Family Studies affecting P&A and Civil Service employees that are currently underway at the University of Minnesota. To help you navigate this process with as much accurate information as possible, Susan Rafferty, SPH Director of Human Resources, and Tracey Kane will be holding an information session for employees and supervisors.

This process began a few years ago with staff classified in the finance group. To date, the Division has had employees reclassified through the IT Job Family and the HR Job Family. The review of the Grant Administration Job Family is currently under way.

The groups remaining to be examined in the Division of Epidemiology and Community Health in the upcoming months include Education, Instructional Services and Teaching; Student Services; Research; and Administrative studies, with the Research study affecting the greatest number of our employees.

We hope to see as many of you as possible at this meeting, but if you are unable to attend, please feel free to stop by Tracey Kane’s office with any questions you may have about the process.
