Join the SPH Alumni Society Board
Join our board of alumni directors! We welcome and encourage all SPH alumni in various career fields to apply. The time commitment is less than 30 hours per year but the impact is a lifetime. Application opens every March. If you have interest please email sph-alum@umn.edu.
Become an Alumni Ambassador
Alumni Ambassadors are the SPH’s most active and engaged alumni volunteers. They support admissions, career development and alumni programming by volunteering their time and sharing their talents.
Alumni Ambassadors must participate in at least three volunteer activities per year. Volunteer activities can include but are not limited to attending SPH events, serving on panels, connecting with prospective students, and or joining SPH in a community service activity. Join the SPH Mentor program
The Mentor Program is an incredible way to give back to students! The SPH Mentor Program serves over 300 students annually and is a great way for alumni to make an impact. Learn how you can become a mentor and help shape the future of public health.
Alumni Focus Groups
Share your expertise as an alum in the public health field by providing feedback about the skills, strengths, and opportunities you see in recent graduates. Do they have the core competencies to be successful? What are areas of growth or challenges for new public health professionals? This opportunity is available in January. Alumni Card Writing Campaign
Help us recruit the next generation of SPH Gophers by sharing your SPH story via written cards to prospective students. Alumni provide valuable insight and perspective for students deciding where to go for their graduate studies. This opportunity is available in January.
