Graduate Minor in Sexual Health
The Sexual Health minor is a graduate minor that allows students to specialize in sex, sexuality, reproductive health, and sexual health. A firm understanding of the structural factors involved in sexual health will prepare students to enter the professional world with the confidence and ability needed to handle complex questions and issues related to sexuality.

Who Can Apply?
The Sexual Health minor is available to students enrolled in any master’s and doctoral program at the University of Minnesota Twin Cities Campus.

Curriculum
Learning Objectives
Students learn comprehensive skills needed to become leaders in sexual health. Through robust curriculum offerings, students will:
- Examine sexual health as a public health priority, including key definitions, national an global policies, and public health priorities
- Learn the epidemiology and nature of sex, sexuality, and sexual health problems, disparities, and methods for documenting and measuring gaps in sexual health achievement at the individual and community levels
- Analyze the roots of sexual health inequities and the process by which these gaps are generated and perpetuated
- Understand the unique and integral role of women, gender and sexual minorities, racial/ethnic groups,
Upon completion of the minor, students will be able to: conduct focus groups; design measures and interventions; critique interventions; design a course of study; create sexual health campaigns for very high-risk populations and individuals; and more.
