Greg Jansen (he/him) is the current SPH Tutor and a second-year graduate student in the School of Public Health. He is pursuing an MPH in Epidemiology, with a minor in Social and Administrative Pharmacy. Greg’s research and academic interests focus on pharmacoepidemiology, maternal and child health, and psychiatric epidemiology with a particular interest in substance use disorders.

The SPH Tutor serves as a free and neutral point of contact for any SPH student seeking academic assistance in a PubH course. The SPH Tutor is primarily focused on supporting students with Epidemiology concepts, but can also serve as a resource for other PubH courses, as well as help with general study strategies. The tutor can provide direct support, where possible, and can refer students to additional resources, if needed.

The SPH Tutor will be keeping regular office hours from 9:00am to 11:00am on Wednesdays in the SPHere Lounge, located in the Mayo Memorial Building, first floor, room A150. Appointments can also be set up either in-person or over Zoom at a scheduled time or a mutually agreed upon time. Absolutely! Both drop-in office hours and individual appointments will be available over Zoom for those who would like to meet remotely.

The SPH Tutor can help students with the course concepts and study strategies, but they cannot directly help with completing the homework itself.
