The goal of the Aging Work Group (AWG) is to create a collaborative, supportive community of scholars to facilitate the development of innovative and interdisciplinary aging science.
The AWG meets the first Monday of every month. Meetings offer a forum to:
- Share new ideas and questions related to scholarship;
- Share draft proposals, manuscripts or other scholarly products for supportive peer review;
- Identify new collaborative opportunities; and
- Develop strategies to advance aging science at the University of Minnesota in cooperation with partner institutions and organizations.
The Robert L. Kane Endowed Chair in Long-Term Care and Aging provides AWG members with the resources to support: a) external review of extramural grant proposals; and b) scientific editing of grant proposals that emerge in a collaborative fashion from AWG activities.
