Please join us for an SPH Public Health Traineeship seminar “The 6 tenets of Community-Institutional Collaboration and the ‘Why’ of the Work” featuring Susan Gust, Sr. Program Manager-Community Engagement Training with CTSI-CEARCH on Thursday, November 16 from 10-11 am in PWB 3-156 or over Zoom.
In our everyday lives, the focus often is and needs to be on: “What do I need to get done? How should I approach this work?” There is little time to think about the “why” of the work and why does it matter? Am I participating in the change I want to see or having the impact that I want to have?”
There might not be time to think about these bigger questions or even a way to know if we are making a difference. However, if we can feel confident about the tenets or principles which are guiding us, especially in the arena of doing public health work, it can help us feel and know that we are using a trustworthy approach in conducting our work with others
