Anti-Black racism has been a part of this country since its founding, from the enslavement of imported Africans to the contemporary mass incarceration of Black people. This workshop will introduce and remind attendees of some instances of anti-Blackness in academia, policy, language, and other areas of life. We will then discuss paths to both personal and collective repair and how we can all play our parts.
