This webinar will share the findings of two research studies from the HRSA and CDC funded Public Health Workforce Research Center, addressing national-level issues around public health workforce composition, roles, recruitment, retention, and implementation science.
Presentation #1 from Nikki Weiss, PhD: Triangulated turnover assessment through integration and harmonization of public health workforce datasets
Researchers in this study used quantitative methods to identify, integrate, and harmonize datasets to assist in workforce assessment and development, specifically related to turnover.
Presentation #2 from Casey P. Balio, PhD: Variation in the Public Health Workforce Composition by Geography, Economic Factors, Race, and Ethnicity
Dr. Balio used a cross-sectional, quantitative study design with linked data from PH WINS, the NACCHO Profile study, and other sources to describe the governmental public health workforce by characteristics of the communities served (e.g. geography, poverty, race/ethnicity).
