Dr. Wu’s research examines the social determinants of health and the potential of community-engaged research to promote health equity. Dr. Wu’s studies in cancer prevention and survivorship highlight the promise of community engagement in promoting health behaviors, improving health outcomes, and developing culturally appropriate interventions. During this seminar, Dr. Wu will discuss the lens through which he conducts community-engaged research, showcase promising health promotion interventions, highlight important social determinants of health, and discuss future directions for collaboration. This seminar offers an opportunity to gain a glimpse into early efforts of community-engaged research aimed to promote health equity in underrepresented communities. |
