Topic: Creating African MaDE: Key Considerations in Developing Dementia Education with the African Immigrant Community
African MaDE (Memory and Dementia Education) is a culturally tailored dementia education program developed with and for the African immigrant community. This presentation will highlight key insights from working with an advisory board and community partners to adapt an evidence-based dementia education program for this specific population. It will also address the challenges faced during this process and provide practical strategies to foster successful researcher-community partnerships.
