This month, we are installing signs in conference rooms and gathering spaces that support our Strategic Plan for Antiracism (SPAR). These signs serve as an active reminder to our community members to hold themselves and others accountable.
Join us for a virtual conversation facilitated by our Office of Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion on the language in our new signs and how we can create inclusive, brave spaces at SPH. Attendees will gain an understanding of:
- How to center marginalized voices
- What it means to interrupt dominant groups
- Bringing balance to conversations
Goals
- Challenge and change behavior of faculty, staff, students, and alumni alike
- Contribute to developing safer spaces for people with historically marginalized identities
- Increase SPAR visibility and inform community members
