Odichinma Akosionu, MPH-PHAP student, has co-authored an article in the Journal of Immigrant and Minority Health titled “The Impact of Gender Differences in Attitudes and Beliefs Concerning HBV Vaccination and Screening in the Lao Community.”
Akosionu’s findings show that among participants men were more likely to believe HBV infection is preventable and treatable, but women were four times more likely to get vaccinated.
