The School of Public Health appointed Dr. Timothy J. Beebe to the position of professor and head of the Division of Health Policy & Management (HPM) effective August 15, 2016.

In this position, Beebe will serve as part of the school’s leadership team and work in collaboration with HPM faculty and staff to set strategic priorities and directions for the division’s continued and new successes.

Beebe is an outstanding researcher whose studies focus on patient experience of health and health care. He holds a PhD in sociology from the University of Minnesota and an MA in applied social research from the University of Michigan.

Currently, Beebe is the chair of the Division of Health Care Policy & Research at the Mayo Clinic in Rochester, and serves as the Deputy Director of Research at the Mayo Clinic Robert D. and Patricia E. Kern Center for the Science of Health Care Delivery.

Beebe is also already a part of the SPH community as a member of the adjunct faculty since 2005.
