Day 28: Global Teaching and Learning

We are grateful for Adam Kaplan, a PhD student in biostatistics whose interest in teaching led him to Uganda. With strong partners across the SPH and across the globe, Adam had the chance to teach classes at the “UMN Hub” on Mulago Hill. The hub is a health research collaboration between Makerere University and the University of Minnesota. Adam’s students included physicians, data managers, doctors of nursing, and lab technicians. He taught them tidyverse and ggplot2 using the R Studio interface, a software package with tools for computing and visually presenting data.

Help support learning opportunities for students like Adam with a gift to the public health fund or another scholarship fund at SPH. Make your gift today.
