Faculty from the Divisions of Environmental Health Sciences, Epidemiology and Community Health, and Health Policy Management attended a joint SPH-Jamia Millia Islamiya University (New Delhi, India) International Conference on “Public Health Infrastructure in Transition – Challenges and a Way Forward” held between Feb 16-20, 2015 in New Delhi, India.
In addition to presenters from various universities and public health institutions in India and the US, there were more than 160 presenters from countries such as Pakistan, Afghanistan, Bangladesh, the Netherlands, and Canada.
The plenary opening address was given by Professor Beth Virnig, Associate Dean for Research, SPH. Professors Bruce Alexander, Gurumurthy Ramachandran, Matteo Convertino, William Toscano, Jeffrey Mandel, and PhD student Hitakshi Sehgal attended the conference, made presentations, and taught short courses.
