The Division of Environmental Health Sciences is pleased to welcome our new faculty member Jonathan D. Oliver, PhD.
Dr. Oliver is an entomologist and vector borne disease specialist who studies the interaction of pathogenic bacteria with their arthropod vectors. The diseases and vectors being studied by Dr. Oliver are of particular public health importance in Minnesota and through out the world.
Dr. Oliver received his BS from the University of Oregon in 1998 and his PhD from Iowa State University in 2011 and was previously employed by the Department of Entomology at the University of Minnesota. Dr. Oliver brings expertise that will enhance the program in environmentally related infectious diseases at the School of Public Health.
