The CDC Office of Readiness and Response selected the University of Minnesota to facilitate the development of a five-year work plan for the Upper Midwest Center for Public Health Emergency Preparedness and Response serving Illinois, Indiana, Michigan, Minnesota, Ohio, and Wisconsin and the Tribal Nationals in Region 5. The center will be one of several nationwide that focus on improving the uptake of evidence-based strategies and interventions in public health preparedness and response (PHPR) among state, Tribal, local and territorial public health agencies and their partners.

This project was determined to be Not Human Research by the University of Minnesota Institutional Review Board (STUDY00024008). This project was also determined to be Not Regulated by the University of Michigan Health Sciences and Behavioral Sciences Institutional Review Board (HUM00268154).
